[CONVENTION REVIEW] Houston Horror Film Fest

Terror came to Houston this past month on August 9th through August 11th with the annual Houston Horror Film Festival! The event had hundreds of vendors and some of the biggest names in horror such as Heather Langenkamp and Kane Hodder

Houston Horror Film Festival had many things to keep you busy aside from the vendors and guests. The panels were often fully seated with excited attendees to hear about big names in horror. They even had a reunion panel with the cast of the original Pet Sematary!

The convention also held great after parties going into the night! Every night had a different theme to the music. The first night was EDM music and the second night was 80’s themed! 80’s attire was encouraged too!

The convention also showed films all day from local film creators. The films would play from the start of the day until 1:00AM. It was a fun way to keep the convention lively after the main day ended. At the end of the convention, they passed awards to certain filmmakers for their frightful feats.

Overall, the event is becoming a staple of horror conventions in Texas with the crowds becoming bigger each year! If you are from the Texas area, you certainly do not want to miss this convention next Summer!
