First look at Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr in 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' sequel

The time has come for Julie and Ray to make their triumphant return to Southport with the new cast in tow! It’s been 27 years since we last saw the two together and we now have visual confirmation!

The photos were shared by People Magazine earlier today and they also spoke with the director of the film!

“It is not a serious movie. It is a really fun popcorn summer event,” director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) tells People. She also warns, “It’s much more brutal. There’s not a lot of gore or blood or violence in the first [movie]. There certainly is in this one.”

The film follows “five friends who inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.”

‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ hits theaters this summer on July 18, 2025.
