Linda Cardellini is our Pamela Voorhees in A24's 'Crystal Lake'
We finally have our Pamela Voorhees for the new ‘Friday the 13th’ prequel series from Peacock aptly titled ‘Crystal Lake’ Linda Cardellini (Scooby Doo, Curse of La Llorona, Strangeland) has been part of the Horror genre for quite some time and it’s been a real treat to see her come back again and again.
Reported by Variety earlier today they broke the news after countless talks about Linda joining the cast and they confirmed it today.
Brad Caleb Kane who is the showrunner for ‘Crystal Lake’ had this to say about the Friday series “From the moment I watched Jason Voorhees squeeze a guy’s eyeball out of its socket (in glorious 3D!) at the tender age of 8 years old, I knew my creative path was someday destined to converge with The Man Behind The Mask,” previously said Kane in a statement. “Nothing defined my childhood more than growing up in the golden age of the slasher flick, and nothing’s defined the genre more than Friday The 13th. I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to contribute a chapter to this iconic franchise, particularly with such fearless partners as Peacock and A24.”
Victor Miller who wrote the original ‘Friday the 13th’ is an executive producer.
No word yet on the rest of the cast but that’s presumed to be coming soon.
