‘Resident Evil’ (2026) is getting a new popcorn “bag” for the upcoming release
The hype around Zach Cregger’s ‘Resident Evil’ is widespread, and you can watch the film in several different formats: IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby. There’s enough zombie gore to satisfy fans of the franchise.

Cregger spoke with Empire Magazine about how ‘Resident Evil’ (2026) is “definitely the most violent thing I’ve done, you gotta go grotesque! I wanted to go all the way.”
“So it’s gnarly. It’s brutal,” Cregger continues. “A very bloody affair.”
The film follows “A hapless courier tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital. He soon finds himself caught in the middle of an outbreak and must fight through hordes of mutated creatures to survive.”
‘Resident Evil’ will be released in theaters on September 18th on IMAX, ScreenX, 4DX, and Dolby.
