'Saw XI' is dead and won't be making a comeback

Reported earlier today by Bloody Disgusting, Saw 11 is no longer happening. Their anonymous source told them “It’s totally dead,” the source tells us. “It’s 100% over. Almost a year now.”

They went on to say “Everything went sideways in January 2024 … the producers started fighting.” While one producer attempted to “plow forward” with the film, the other “put up roadblocks,” stifling Saw XI’s production.”

Sounds like trouble amongst producers for the upcoming film and Lionsgate was also struggling to find a way to keep the franchise alive. It’s sad to hear that we won’t be seeing Tobin, Shawnee, or Costas back on screen again dawning new saw traps but we’re holding out hope!

If the franchise does come back it will likely have a “redo” and start from the beginning with a new cast but only time will tell. ‘SAW XI’ was reportedly to hit theaters September 26, 2025.
