The Last Drive in with Joe Bob Briggs concludes season; Last Four Specials on the way

All great things must end, and the time has come for The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs to concluded its 7th season. No reason has been given for the season end, but Darcy the Mail Girl said, “We are only allowed to say so much right now (there are even certain words/phrases we aren’t permitted to use), but I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability. The #1 question is about JB’s health, so let me assure you he’s doing fine… Spry AF, even!!”

Fans can still look forward to four new specials coming out this year on Shudder starring Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy. The first special airs on April 24 at 9pm ET. It’s titled Joe Bob’s Wicked Witchy Wingding.

Courtney Thomasma, EVP, Linear and Streaming Products said, “Joe Bob Briggs has been a Shudder staple since 2018, when his original 13-movie marathon ‘broke the internet,’”... “Since then, he and Darcy the Mail Girl have continued to delight Shudder fans with double features and seasonal specials tailored to horror buffs and cinephiles alike, always offering plenty of surprises. We look forward to sharing these four new specials with Drive-In Mutants everywhere.”

After 8 years and 200 movies, Joe Bob has given his insights and the genre significance of the horror movies he shared. From the start in 2018, The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs drew in so many people that it crashed Shudder’s servers. If this is the real end, it will be a bitter-sweet for audiences and a huge mistake for Shudder.
