[EVENT REVIEW] Wicked Fest 2023

Two of my favorite things are horror markets and free events. Wicked Fest took those two ideas and mashed them together to give us a fun filled day with spooky vendors, delicious tacos (I wish I bought more omg), and fun activities like photo-ops, cosplayers, and a DJ spinning live records all day! Driving out to Yucaipa was a journey in itself since I live in LA and it was almost 2 hours away. I had heard nothing but amazing things about the event last year from vendor friends and event goers alike so I took the chance to see if I would have a good time as well. Well you can bet your ass I did!

The sun was blaring, the vendors were plentiful and the tacos had me wanting more. It truly shows that the horror community has some of the best people I’ve ever met and they truly know how to party. I had a blast walking around in my sweat puddle chatting away with vendor friends and meeting new vendors who had some of the most creative items I’ve seen in a long time. Probably my favorite item I saw was a tote bag that said “This barbie loves horror” and I couldn’t agree more

If you haven’t gone out to a free horror market you’re doing it wrong because you have nothing to lose…literally, all you have to do is show up and have a damn good time. Walking around and taking in the spooky atmosphere is one of my favorite parts about going to events
