A look inside TCM & Scarecrow: The Reaping at Universal's Horror Unleashed

Only 3 months to go until Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas finally opens its Crypts for guests to roam the grounds and get scared all year round! We got an insider's look at ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’(1974) and Scarecrow: The Reaping which you can watch on Horror Unleashed youtube channel or check them out below.

For TCM they’re going with the 1974 film that kick started Hooper’s career with horror and the team promises to match the brutal grittiness of the original film. “You are actually going to be pursued by Leatherface in this house. We’re also following it beat for beat all the way through in a linear fashion.”

For Scarecrow: The Reaping they’re giving us the fan favorite and original house layout set in the Dust Bowl era when farmers ravaged the land. “In our story the land has come back to life to wreak its revenge on YOU!” We’ll be transported to the midwest inside an old farmhouse where the scarecrows reside to take back their land.

The buzz around this event has been received well and we’ll be there opening night! We're very excited but we're also curious how they're going to maintain this year round attraction at Area 15. Halloween Horror Nights as a whole is very difficult to run, even for the two months that it's around, with cast members getting sick, people quitting on the first and second day, along with many technical issues. That isn’t to say Horror Unleashed will be a huge disaster but it’s in the back of everyone’s minds.
