[EVENT REVIEW] Halloween on V-Day

Halloween on Valentine’s Day was a huge success, there were so many vendors; it took us some time to get through everything. We got lots of new goodies from some familiar vendors and some new ones we will be keeping an eye on. There was a solid turnout, Monarch Studios is a pretty big venue, so everything was spaced out just right.  The photo ops were insane! Beautifully done and over 10 of them. The drinks were strong, delicious, Instagramable, and had all the Valloween details. There was live music giveaways, food vendors, coffee, snacks, and vegan options. All around there was something for everyone, that’s always nice.

We missed the comedy show on Saturday, unfortunately but, this is something I haven’t seen before in all the spooky events we’ve been to. Always nice to see new ways of expressing horror. There were spooky caricatures, charcuterie boards, and people dressed up. Lots of street parking available, indoor bathrooms, and indoor and outdoor areas. Part of the ticket sales went to help those in need. They were able to raise $3k for a few local organizations helping with the LA Wildfire Relief. We love our city so this was such a great opportunity to help the community.

We got a chance to speak with Christian, it was great getting to know a little more about how this event came to life. Christian also has a passion for all things horror and is committed to giving the horror community a space to share. Halloween on events is planning on having several events throughout the year to immerse Halloween into different holidays. We are excited to see these events unfold. Make sure you follow us i_prefer_halloween and hweenonxmas for future events, there should be news soon. Stay tuned.

Check out our interview and recap of the event.
