[EVENT REVIEW] Wicked Fest 2025

Yucaipa may have promised crisp fall vibes, but Mother Nature had other plans—serving up gusty winds, surprise rain, and a sweltering 100° heatwave. Still, the Inland Empire showed up in full spooky spirit, undeterred and ready to kick off Halloween season at Wicked Fest.

Over 60 vendors transformed the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center into a haven of horror-themed treasures. From eerie drinkware and cozy blankets to cute and dark Labubu apparel, there was something for every ghoul and goblin. Despite the heat, the crowd was ready - sweaty but spirited.

The setup wasn’t without drama. Several vendors battled strong winds that toppled displays and, in one unfortunate case, damaged inventory. For small businesses, every item counts, so the loss was felt for sure. But these vendors were resilient. Tents were packed with guests browsing merch and seeking shade, making the most of the market’s eerie charm.

One standout vendor, Discount Cemetery, went the extra mile—literally as they drove in from SFV—with a swamp cooler that turned their booth into a mini cooling spot . It was a clever move that drew in both cool air and curious shoppers.

Parking was a bit of a scavenger hunt, which repeat market goers say is standard given the venue’s central spot in town. But that didn’t stop determined attendees—many parked up to half a mile away and made the heat fueled walk to join the festivities.

The highlight? Seeing everyone embrace the spooky season in full costume and high spirits, despite the blazing sun. Wicked Fest proved that Halloween energy can thrive even in triple-digit temps.

Here’s hoping next year’s market brings cooler weather—but keeps the same passionate enthusiasm.
