Slasher Market Riverside Is a Family-Friendly, Fun, Horror-Fueled Night Bazaar
The courtyard behind University Pizza Company transformed into a delightfully eerie bazaar on the evening of August 23, from 6 to 10 p.m., as the Riverside Slasher Market unfolded. The tagline “Family Friendly” prominently splashed across promotional banners set the tone early for a horror-themed event designed for all ages. A clutch of more than a dozen spooky vendors lined the space, offering everything from handmade horror art and creepy trinkets to themed apparel and collectibles. The air hummed with anticipation and yes, a touch of sinister fun—but never veered into full-blown terror.
The undisputed highlight for the younger crowd? A Ghostface Labubu photo opa cuddly Labubu plush stylized with a Ghostface mask and toy knife. It was equal parts adorable and macabre, and kids lined up eagerly for pictures, many clutching their spooky loot while their parents clicked away.
Beyond the costumes and props, the market offered a surprising undercurrent of communal connection. Families wandered through, bridging the gap between horror fandom and downright cuteness. Amidst the props and dark-themed accessories, you’d find toddlers scuttling around, clutching terror toys, while older kids examined art prints of ghoulish designs, just the right level of playful chill.
The setting, after all, was more pizza joint patio than haunted house. Slices are served both inside and outside, along with sodas, easy seating, and friendly staff. The event balanced an eerie ambiance with everyday comfort. It was horror, but on a leash, just enough to thrill without turning into real scares.
At its heart, Riverside Slasher Market pulled off a clever balancing act. It kept the fun factor high, with kids laughing, families browsing, and fans snapping photos, all without sacrificing its horror-themed identity. It wasn’t about jumpscares or gore; it was a community night out cloaked in faux-fangs and friendly frights.

Spooky Baby's Slasher Market hit the sweet spot for Halloween lovers of all ages. It was eerie yet welcoming, spooky yet safe, and wrapped around slices of pizza. If you're after a night where toddlers and teen horror fans can both roam the aisles without blinking or crying, this was it.
