[EVENT REVIEW] Halfway to Halloween Festival

Ghouls, ghosts and goths delight at the Halfway to Halloween Festival that kicked off its first year over the weekend. Set amidst what felt like a foreboding lagoon and picturesque picnic spots, there was much to be seen including costume contests, picture opportunities, and actor meet and greets, just to name a few.

The main takeaway one can expect from this event however, is just how welcoming the horror community can be. Every scare actor brilliantly balanced staying in character while posing for pictures and interacting with guests.

There were multiple haunts and live actors interacting with guests when you happened to walk past them. The vendors ranged from jewelry and handcrafted items to delicious treats. Live shows were even featured near the entrance that would grab or attract your attention. This new Jurupa Valley festival came in with a spooky splash and is sure to be on the yearly docket for all the horror going crowd.
