Hayden Panettiere dead at 36

Actress Hayden Panettiere has died. She was 36.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her -- and to the millions who watched her onscreen," said father, Skip Panettiere in a statement to ABC.

While best known for her roles in hit TV series’ “Heroes” and “Nashville,” Panettiere also starred in “Scream 4” and “Scream VI.” She also lent her voice in the survival horror video game “Until Dawn.”

Details surrounding the actress’s death remain minimal. Her father has asked for privacy at this time.
