Hellraiser: Revival to release in early October
The history of Hellraiser video game adaptations is a rather interesting one. There were several attempts throughout the 1990s to get one off the ground, but none that actually saw the light of day. Although the franchise finally made its video game debut in 2021 via a collaboration with Dead by Daylight (2016), a solo outing still eluded Hellraiser. However, that changes with Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, the series’ first true video game adaptation.
Developed by Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games, this first-person survival horror action game was first announced all the way back in July of 2025. The game has subsequently built up a lot of excitement from horror fans. The more sights the developers show, the more that Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is shaping up to be a fun, faithful, and downright cool Hellraiser gaming experience.

Ever since its initial reveal, fans have been waiting for quite some time to find out when they’ll be able to taste the exquisite suffering that this game has in store. But not anymore, as the release date trailer for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival was finally posted on June 16.
The trailer consists of a rapid montage of footage accompanied by a voiceover courtesy of Pinhead, who is once again played by Doug Bradly. Gameplay clips show the player avoiding deadly traps, dishing out bloody punishment to BDSM cultists, and facing off against gnarly body horror abominations. These are interspersed with an animated cinematic of a man’s naked body being hooked and dragged through hallways by chains. All of this takes place in a variety of settings, ranging from a neon-lit nightclub and an eccentric mansion to the cold and serrated corridors of the Cenobites’ Labyrinth. The trailer ends with the man getting torn asunder before the cenobites, freeing the beating heart encased within his body. Finally, the game’s release date appears on screen: 2026.10.8.
When that day comes, players will get to experience the story of Aidan, whose girlfriend Sunny has been taken by the Cenobites. If he wants any hope of saving Sunny, Aidan will have to use the very thing that sealed her fate: a mysterious puzzle box called the Genesis Configuration. This otherworldly power at the player’s fingertips can be used in tandem with an array of earthly weapons that Aidan will obtain throughout his journey, helping him survive the painful pleasures that await.
