Creepy Christina Productions is raising money for their first feature film ‘The Straw Girl’
"Haunted and tormented by her past, a teenage girl begins to transform herself into something dark and hideous"
Craig MacLachlan and his wife, Christina, had created Creepy Christina Productions to create short films and eventually their first feature film. Unfortunately, in 2018, Craig’s wife passed away due to breast cancer. Shortly after that, Craig’s good friend Blake, who was also part of the production company, passed away in 2023 after filming had begun on the feature-length.
With the hope of finishing the film in their honor, Craig is trying to raise $15,000 to get their story told. What is the story about? I’ll let Craig speak on that.
“The film will explore the folklore beginnings of Straw Girl (Christina), and her torturous relationships with The Man, Charlotte, and The Woman. This leads to an event, a moment, that transcends forward in time, where a teenage Christina, living with The Man, is haunted by an entity she calls "The Blue Thing", but her friend, "Rose", helps her escape reality. As The Man becomes more violent in unison with “The Blue Thing”, another personality residing within Christina’s body grows stronger, wanting control and to extinguish Christina for eternity. A personality whom The Man desperately needs to win -Charlotte! While Christina battles for control of her body, Charlotte performs an unspeakable act of cruelty. One so heinous, it causes Christina's personality to shift into something much darker, devious, and sinister. Something that started long, long ago. As Christina begins to alter her physical appearance in twisted, macabre ways, The Man succumbs to her mental and physical torture, leading him down a spiraling path of darkness and despair as he desperately tries to find a way to save his Charlotte.
Who is good and who is evil? Who is light and who is dark? And are things truly as they appear to be or is there deception hiding behind a veil of darkness or a veil of light?”
