Immersive Victorian Horror Stories in the Dark experience once again impresses audiences

Terrifying True Stories has just delivered pure theatric raw energy in a unique immersive fashion.

With their 2026 production of Victorian Horror Stories in the Dark “The Revenants,” we see the weaving together of a number of tales from this historic period. I personally found myself as a member of the audience unknowingly learning about true gruesome history while being captivated by talented actors and fun effects. The cast and crew displayed a rare dichotomy where they both warmly welcomed us while simultaneously putting artfully placed chills down our spines. If you’re interested in attending one of their future events, (which I do recommend, as it makes for a memorable and enjoyable night) make sure to wear some sturdy shoes in case you are scared spur of the moment, and to just generally be able to safely walk the dirt paved grounds. Another pro tip, come for a later showing after sundown and get the vip passes for the full spooky experience (You get candy!).

The night consisted of two main performances, both scheduled throughout the night as well as a handful of other mini-shows you could walk up to at any time. There were adult beverages, psychic readings, and spooky wares available for purchase, all of which were enticing and fit the mood perfectly.

If you’re a skeptic, you might just walk out a believer after watching the abandoned church show just under 30 minutes long. The main performers are a priest forewarning the spectators about the dangers that lay in the night ahead, and a hypnotist engaging brave participants from the audience. This was not for the faint of heart as the intimate setting created a palpable sense of tension between the living and the other side. Some of the other performances drew you in around each individual historic house and told said stories while in full character. Some of these characters included the infamous Lizzie Borden, a snake tamer, a couple whose hide and seek game ran awry, a volunteer coffin experience, witches, a top hat adorned host, and more.

Keep an eye out for any of their upcoming events, you’ll be happy you did!
