New Images of '28 Years Later' revealed at CinemaCon
Cinema Con is held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is “the largest and most important gathering of movie theater owners from around the world.” Every year, we are given BIG news about upcoming movies, and this year we received some teaser photos from ‘28 Years Later’ with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Alfie Williams, a decaying zombie who is NOT Cillian Murphy, although he will return in the film and, Ralph Fiennes looking menacingly covered in blood and dirt.
A second film has already been greenlit and will be directed by Nia DaCosta (Little Woods, Candyman). The theatrical release will be on January 16, 2026. It’s titled ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’
“It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.”
‘28 Years Later’ will have a theatrical release on June 20, 2025.
