Universal Horror Make-Up Show and Blumhouse are taking the stage together

The beloved Universal Horror Make-Up Show closed it’s doors on May 12th, 2026 which had fans worried about when the show would return and how.

On October 9th, Universal Orlando Resort finally made the big announcement regarding the show.

“In this live show, discover how Hollywood’s top special effects artists have terrified moviegoers for over 100 years,” Universal Orlando wrote in the announcement on its social accounts, “from Universal’s classic monsters to the modern horrors of Blumhouse.”

While there are no specific details on WHAT the show will entail, Blumhouse has a long line of IP’s that will fall perfectly into this new show. Megan, Five Night’s At Freddy’s, and The Black Phone are among some of the many movies Blumhouse and Universal have brought to Halloween Horror Night’s and we expect the same for this.

There is no reopening date as of yet, but we will update you when one is announced.
