Yzma teased for Disney’s Oogie Boogie Bash
Make sure to pull the right lever, because Yzma is dropping down to Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure.
Disneyland has been teasing her arrival on Instagram since July 14, with a photo of three purple potions next to the caption, “the villain behind it has big plans for Oogie Boogie Bash.”
Fans of the movie Emperors New Groove will recognize these props from the scene in Yzma’s lab that turned Kuzco into a llama. It’s a subtle reference to this villain with a nasty attitude.
This is Yzma’s first time at Disneyland, though she has appeared at Disneyland Paris for meet-and-greets, stage-shows, and parades.
Rare Disney villain sightings that guests don’t usually get to see are one of the biggest draws at Oogie Boogie Bash. That lineup has grown and changed throughout the years, including Syndrome, Judge Doom, Agatha Harkness, and Yokai.
Most villains at the event stay put in designated treat trails where guests will be treated to candy.
Disney may have more surprise villain cameos as the full 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash villain lineup has not been officially announced.
Oogie Boogie Bash starts Aug. 18 and runs through Oct. 31 for 33 select nights.. Tickets are available online now, ranging from $139 to $199 at Disneyland.com.
