Chucky is coming BACK to theaters with Don Mancini at the helm!

The news broke courtesy of Bloody Disgusting earlier today and it’s crazy to read that Don Mancini and Chucky are making a comeback that is fit for a theatrical release!

“His plan for the new movie? Mancini aims to make Chucky scary again, throwing back particularly to the tone of Curse of Chucky as well as the first two original Child’s Play movies.” John Squires, Editor in Chief at BD gave us a tease of what Don had told the site and it’s exciting that Chucky will in fact be scary again.

He’s a legacy character after starring in 8 films and 3 seasons of the tv show that aired on USA & SyFy. This will be the 9th film in the Mancini canon and it’s a very welcome surprise. No other details have been revealed just yet, but when it does get announced, we’ll keep you updated.
