Stage Fright Presents The Black Cat Cabaret Fundraiser at Peacock PDX

Portland’s only queer horror theatre festival is summoning a night of cabaret with variety acts and raffle prizes to help fund its October festival.

Stage Fright Festival, Portland’s only queer horror theatre festival, will present The Black Cat Cabaret on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Peacock PDX.

The one-night-only summerween fundraising event will feature a cabaret show with live variety performances, raffle prizes, and all-around queer mayhem and mischief. All funds raised go directly toward producing the 2026 Stage Fright Festival, which runs October 8–18, 2026, at CoHo Theater.

Stage Fright is a volunteer-powered non-profit, and the money raised from The Black Cat Cabaret helps cover the real costs of producing the festival, including venue rent, production expenses, technical needs, operations, and paying the artists and performers who bring queer horror theatre to life onstage.

Founded in 2022, Stage Fright Festival focuses on horror because of the genre’s long symbiotic relationship with queer culture, using fear, spectacle, camp, and performance to build community and tell stories that fall outside the social norm.

Stage Fright’s mission is to produce original theatre by professional and emerging independent artists, of the highest artistic integrity, centering trans and queer creators and audiences.

“We believe in the power that theatre and horror have to build and bond communities.”

The Black Cat Cabaret arrives ahead of Stage Fright’s October festival and offers audiences a chance to support the organization while enjoying a summer evening of live performance. Guests can expect a cabaret-style variety show with raffle prizes.

Attendees are encouraged to bring friends, dress for the occasion, enter the raffle, and help support Portland’s only queer horror theatre festival before it rises again this October.
