During the dead of winter the ancients would celebrate the return of the sun by slaughtering corpulent livestock and feasting around the Yule. The peaceful, domesticated Christmas we all enjoy is nothing like the festivals of previous centuries. Santa’s ancestors, like Krampus & Belznickle, were all about delivering pain & sorrow equally to everyone, not just to the naughty. To that we say: “Yeah! Let’s do this!”
In mid-December, when days are shortest, we celebrate at Panic Point with Mad Mirth. So……you can stay home and sip on nog while Bing serenades you, or you can come to Panic Point and scream-laugh all night long in 3 of our Featured Attractions:
THE HAUNTED FOREST: Take a casual stroll through The Forest, with its dozens of monsters and 12 unique locales, each with its own unique twist on the cold, dark, dismal days of winter. You’ll encounter Seasonal Specters, Evil Elves, and a variety Twisted Yuletide Characters as you trek the half-mile of holiday suffering.
THE DARK TRAIL – “FROSTBITE”: It’s the The Dark Trail in “Deep Freeze Mode”. On December 11th, 1962 a massive blizzard tore through Youngsville. Blistering winds lifted water off the Slurry Pond adjacent to the compound, dropping a snow so cold and contaminated, it poisoned, mutated, and finally froze the inhabitants in their tracks. Now, every December, those souls roam the area in search of warm mammalian flesh to free them from their semi-animated state.
