Factory of Fear
Opening in 1994 to the public, the Factory of Fear is celebrating 27 years of of FEAR. 2018 gave us a 100% remodel to the haunt for the first time in years! After adding almost 5000 square feet to the attraction in 2020, the haunt now has 40+ rooms and is adding another 5000 square feet! That’s over 14,000 square feet of brand new haunt in just 3 years!

We have transformed our haunted house into a Christmas wonderland, although it won’t be all glitter and snowflakes. You better watch out. You better not cry. Although HellsGate Haunted House was a financial and critical success, a police investigation caused the owner to close the doors forever in 1992. On the third week of October in 1992, eleven actors and managers went missing while working in the haunted house. After a two year investigation the case was closed and considered unsolved. Because there were no traces of the missing employees, the police focused their investigation on the last person to have seen them. Unfortunately, his testimony was considered invalid, due to the fact that he was committed to an Illinois mental health facility soon after the night his friends went missing
