[HAUNT REVIEW] OC Nightmare

A haunted house can be found anywhere this time of year.  Creativity and fresh takes however, are harder to find.  At OC Nightmare the haunted maze fulfills this challenge with its unique take on scare acting and macabre decor.  Among a few of the actors, a towering scary clown and a deal wielding funeral home owner eagerly approach you not for jump scares but to make you laugh and cower in uneasiness. The giggles and goosebumps they deliver are not what many other haunt mazes offer.

Continuing the journey, just a few doors down is the Thriller Nights party for 21+ guests. It offers perfect instagrammable photo opportunities set in movie scenes from the 80s and 90s.  Upon walking in you’re instantly greeted by an 80s decked out host who graciously offers to take photos of you and your friends throughout the party.  The band playing was outstanding and there was even an other worldly gogo dancer accompanying them. Then there are the drinks, so many drinks!  Each one perfectly themed for horror movies including “It,” “Chucky,” and “Nightmare on Elm Street.”  The biggest take away is if you want a uniquely creative and welcoming haunt, and perhaps even like to party old school style, this is the attraction for you.
