'The Thing: Remastered' gets a physical release this June with Deluxe editions
43 years ago on June 25, 1982, the theatrical release of ‘The Thing’ was unleashed to audiences and they were forever changed. In 2002, Nightdive Studios and Computer Artworks created a first-person shooter survival horror that was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Nightdive Studios came back in 2024 and remastered the game for PC. They still had more up their sleeves, with the release of a physical copy of ‘The Thing: Remastered’ for both the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Each copy has a deluxe edition filled to the brim with goodies like a steelbook case, sew-on patch, poster key art poster, and a replica of Captain Blake’s ID card for $49.99 or you can buy the regular edition for $29.99. They’re available for pre-order now and ship out June 25, 2025.

Blake, the leader of a US Army Special Forces rescue team, sent to investigate the blood-curdling events that transpired in the original The Thing film. Trapped by the elements and at risk of infection by a horrific entity, Blake must keep his squad together to survive by gaining their trust and ensuring that their fear and paranoia don't get the best of them… or himself.”
