Spook-O-Rama

Spook-O-Rama is a weekly movie night hosted by the Terror Trader crew at Pollack Cinemas in Tempe, Arizona. Your favorite spine-chilling horror movies are played on the big screen EVERY Thursday night at 8 pm, and the screening is hosted by Terror Trader’s “Creep Crew!” They make the showing even better by having fun trivia games with prizes and raffle tickets with even more prizes to win. The items you can win are usually made and donated by the vendors inside the Terror Trader store, but sometimes, something like a free tattoo from a tattoo shop is a prize you can win. The movies chosen for the monthly line-ups are always killer picks you don’t want to miss out on!

We have attended many showings, and most of the films played were on our “bucket list” to watch on the big screen. Some of our “bucket list” movies we got to watch were Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Scream 2, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. We most recently got to see Thirteen Ghosts on the big screen because of Terror Trader’s Spook-O-Rama, and it was a blast. If you are an Arizona horror fan or an out-of-state horror fan visiting the area, be sure to check out what movies are being played at Pollack Cinemas on Thursday night for Terror Trader’s terrifyingly terrific Spook-O-Rama!

If you are interested in knowing the movie lineup for the next couple of months, here it is. February’s movie list is: February 6th It Follows, February 13th My Bloody Valentine 3D(2009), February 20th The Silence of the Lambs, and February 27th The Things. We will be attending the showing on the 13th for My Bloody Valentine 3D, and we can’t wait! March’s movie list is: March 6th Saw, March 13th Freddy VS Jason, March 20th Fright Night(1985), and March 27th Dawn of the Dead(2004). We will be attending the showing on the 13th for Freddy VS Jason, and we are very excited about this one; it’s another ‘bucket list” movie checked off of the list!

The AZ Spooky Boos

We are The AZ Spooky Boos, a mother-daughter duo who love all things spooky, horror,

Halloween, and more! We mainly cover events in Arizona, but we also venture out to California,

Nevada, and even Kentucky, to enjoy conventions and meet new celebs. Not only do we go to

horror cons, but we also go to in-store signings, local markets, fun weekend events, early movie

screenings, and whatever else may come our way. We became part of the AZ Horror Community

in 2018 after our first-ever convention, and now, years later, we're running a social media

account covering the events. Though we just started our social media journey a little over a year

ago, we have fully embraced being part of the media coverage side and are always up for

attending new events that welcome us. We started as attendees, and now we are covering cons,

markets, and other events for ourselves and Local Haunts!
