[HAUNT REVIEW] The Circus of Nightmares
A beautiful nightmare
Circus of nightmares delivers more than expected for a pop-up. The scare actors go above and beyond by grabbing your attention and providing a safe and scary space imagined by its creators. You are first welcomed by a bearded lady in an elegant Southern gown. Then the circus begins when you’re greeted by clowns of all sorts from movies to the everyday. There’s even a fortune teller that guides your way throughout the inner depths of its twist and turns.
It’s hard to say what stands out the most, whether it be the acting, set design, or hospitality by all those working the event. You are truly transported into a microcosm that is reminiscent of American Horror Story’s Freak Show season. The special effects including strobe lights, various tapestries, haunting decor, and hanging masks challenge you to decipher whether it is a person or a prop. For the affordable price that delivers more then meets the eye, this haunt is highly recommended.
