[EVENT REVIEW] Sinister Saloon

The moment you enter the sinister saloon by sassafras of Hollywood, you’re instantly transported into an old timey world with a tinge of spookiness and mischief about every corner. Old West characters were brooding around while giving deadly stares and others joyfully engaging guests in conversation, asking what is that contraption you’re using to take a “selfie” and claiming “my husband will be back from the war soon, he wouldn’t die on me, I’m carrying his baby” while showing an empty locket of his supposed face

Soon after character meet and greets, the sultry fun began when mistresses of the night came to play in the form of immersive burlesque. The madame and hostess of the evening watched from above in the balcony while the show took a life of its own on the first floor. The libations were flowing when the articles of clothing began to fly and overall fun was being had by everyone in attendance. Gloves and garments were left with with the audience and collected after the dance number concluded. After the show of several acts, one could step outside for a breath of fresh air and some tacos and oddity shopping in the alley. With food, fan fare, cocktails of every poison, and actors dedicated to their roles it’s easy to say that Sinister Saloon was a spooky success
